For an Autumn Leaves Hike to the Recreational Area at Joutsijärvi!
The autumn discolouration of forests at Joutsijärvi (the Swan Lake), which is to end soon, has attracted a lot of us for a hike and for a rowboat or canoe trip also this year. The days are already perceptibly getting shorter, and an omen of the approaching winter drives us, hikers to nature every day whenever the weather allows. The spectrum of autumn discolouration is at its most beautiful. A lot of us go picking mushroom and berries also in the Recreational Area at Joutsijärvi. Even though the mushroom yield is weak this year, let us find comfort in an exceptionally rich lingonberry yield. Hikers taking the circuit route through Kustaa’s Smokey Cottage and the Korsu dug-out have praised the lingonberry harvest. They are sure to return to pick some berries along the hiking trail. Decidous trees within shore zones are shifting to fall colours mode, to autumn status. A mix of broadleaf trees changes hues to become a jewel of the conifer-dominated evergreen. The beauty of the forest edge landscape of the islands and peninsulas of Joutsijärvi and the autumn silence attract hikers here into the cute heart of Satakunta. Autumn sunshine and colours of autumn leaves refresh your soul. It is just these autumn weathers that allow you to cover the longest hike distances. You advance rapidly on an autumn hike.
