The people of Noormarkku offer the opportunity for a hiker to stop for a while and to enjoy arts. The edges of REITTI trail stage at this village is all summer long and into the autumn packed full of events, one more fascinating than the other. By stopping at the Liisa Enqvist Gallery you may acquaint yourself with changing arts exhibitions. Tello Anttila's paintings will be exhibited from July 16th to August 12th, whereas what the aquarelle painting course is going to yield will be shown from August 11th to 13th, Jorma Voimavirta's paintings and collages will be seen from August 18th to September 8th, Jari Jansson's oil paintings can be admired from September 15th to October 6th, whereas on the 'Noormarkku Week' -- from October 8th to 21st -- works of local artists will be displayed, and this year's Chrismas Boutique will be held open from November 19th to December 23rd. Visiting these exhibitions is free of charge. On September 2nd and 3rd, the traditional and funny Noormarkku Markets will be arranged. Programmes, food and drinks will be offered, as well as an opportunity to walk around the market stands of exhibitors. These markets will be arranged by Noormarkku's Entrepreneurs i.e. "Noormarkun Yrittäjät". The 'Noormarkku Week' is going to be held from October 8th to 15th, this year. Cultural Programmes will be offered in great abundance. At the Handicraft Centre in Noormarkku there will be a rugs exhibition, and in the school in Finpyy collections will be displayed, in the school in Lassila, and at the Youth House in Noormarkku movies can be watched, whereas in the Congregation House there will be the collection named "From Fog Into The Light" consisiting of nature pictures by Heikki Neumann will be at display. You can acquaint yourself with the Villa Mairea on a guided tour on Wednesday, October 11th, at 18.00 hrs. There are only a limited number of tour tickets (10 euros), and those can be purchased in the library in Noormarkku. IDOLS competition winner Ilkka Jääskeläinen is going to give a concert at the Youth House in Noormarkku on Thursday, October 12th at 19 o'clock. Furthermore, there will also be other pleasant activities offered.
